San Diego Zoo

It’s been some time since the Mrs and I went to the San Diego Zoo together. We were talking about it and it’s probably been between 10-15 years. Back when My Favorite Daughter was in the Girl Scouts. Yeah, it’s been a while.

We are going to be going when my brother is in town after next week. We decided, heck, it isn’t that much more to get a season pass compared to a day pass, so we got season passes.

What do you do when you get a season pass? You go as often as possible!

We were greeted by the peacock at the front gate. There weren’t many people there when we’d gotten there and we slowly made our way around to the elephants, stopping at several smaller exhibits. It kept getting more and more crowded by the time we made it back to the polar bears (all three were out and about).

Our intentions were two-fold. Firstly, scout out the zoo and see how things have changed so we’d be better prepared when my brother and his family are down here. Secondly, to walk around the zoo. Like, literally around the zoo. We didn’t circumnavigate the entire zoo, but got a good idea what’s changed and what’s similar.

If you live in or come to San Diego for the Zoo, it’s changed quite a bit over the years. We were highly impressed. Hopefully I’ll have more pictures to share next time we go. We have season passes now, do you might be hit with lots of animal pics on my Instagram. If you like animals, follow me over there. 🙂

Until Next Time!

Stay Awesome!
