Hey Gang!
Back to the writing today. Only got in 700 words. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m slowly working my way back up to speed. Still a busier than normal day which left me little time to write and record. It’s learning how to deal with distractions that will help me get faster with my writing. You know, taking advantage of those moments when I can write to sit and ACTUALLY write.
I’m also spending little moments reading when I’m doing things like waiting for a video to upload. This is helping me get through books. I have a goal to read 40 books in ’21 and write 4. Only way I’ll get that done is a little bit at a time.
Until Next Time!

No 5-a-day tonight
Hey Gang. No new words. No new 5-a-day with Jay. No Murdock Minute. Everything will resume tomorrow. Nothing major to report, just a busier than normal day and evening. Plus got up way too early and my brain needs rest.

Words and Exercise
Yesterday I got an exercise bike. Today I put it to good use.
Also, yesterday, I cycled through the beginning of Giant Robot Planetary Competition 3. Then I added another 1000 words.
Much like exercising, getting back into writing isn’t going to happen instantly. Yes, I’d love to write 3000 or 5000 words a day as I’d done before, but hey, we’ll get there. Slowly. I don’t want to blow a gasket and derail my efforts.
Can’t wait to see where this book is going. Yes, I know how it’ll end, but it’s the middle that I’m not too sure on and it’ll be fun to let it happen.
Until Next Time!

GRPC3 – Status Update
Hey! Writing happened today. Sort of. Did a reread of the first few thousand words. Cycled through. I’m up to 3800 words. Very excited with the start of this book and I’m eager to keep rolling with this book. Oh yes, good things are happening.
Next week I will likely begin with getting freshly edited content pushed out while I get the covers done for all the books I need to publish.
I got a bike and a recumbent exercise bike. Time to get my rump in gear and lose a few pounds.
So much is going on. Lots of it. I’m excited about 2021 and the direction it’s headed. Hope you are also

Progress is coming…tomorrow.
Tomorrow I begin with doing 1000 words per day (minimum) for as long as I can. Books ain’t gonna write themselves. Yes, I will continue with the Murdock Minute reviews. We’re almost done with the MCU movies and can move on to more book reviews. I’m excited to drop a number of those before jumping to something else, like graphic novels and web comics.
I’m thinking about ramping things up with my TikTok channels. I dropped a simple time lapse video that got over 400 hits in a couple of days. I think it’d be good to drop some quick videos talking about my books and me. Something similar to 5 a day with Jay, but far shorter. We’ll see. Lots of things in motion.
The books I plan to write this year (at least) will be GRPC book 3, Almost-Super Heroes 3 and 4, and V&A Shipping 4. If I can squeeze out a 5th book, it’ll be GRPC book 4 which means the first books I’ll write next year will be the Military Sci Fi that will wrap up the 15 book arc of all those books. It’s exciting to think I’m that close.
Anyway, until next time!

Under the weather.
I’m home alone today. Not feeling well. Suffering from a low pressure migraine. Haven’t had one of these in some time. Figured I’d make use of the time.
I got caught up on Gold Rush, Curse of Oak Island and Battle Bots. Spent a little time reading Gene Wilder’s Kiss My Like a Stranger. Then I uploaded and scheduled all the Golden West episodes to YouTube. Recorded 5 a Day with Jay even though I wasn’t feeling 100%. Next I’ll be editing and producing the next several Short Story Saturday episodes.
This will get me caught up through mid-March and I’ll have time to do some writing and recording between now and then.
I’m off to get some more work done and I’ll be heading to bed early.
Until Next Time!

And Home again.
Our trip up to Lake Tahoe started with news that Tootsie, our 18 year old puppy, had passed away. Our return trip began with finding out that Uncle Bob had passed away. I’ll have many Uncle Bob stories to share in the coming days. He was quite a character and will be missed.
I hope you are doing well!

18 year old puppy passes on.

Last year we lost Oreo. She was a 12 year old puppy and we thought she’d be around much longer.
This morning we lost Tootsie who was 18. She’d give us quite a scare a couple of weeks ago. Early this morning I carried her out side as I’d been doing the past several weeks and The Mrs and I left town. When My Favorite Daughter got home about an hour after we left, she found Tootsie.
It’s never easy losing a family pet. Tootsie had been with My Favorite Daughter when K was 5 and Tootsie was 4 weeks. They’ve always been together. Hard to not be there now.
