Daily Update: It’s FRIDAY!

This has been a very long week. It looks to be a long weekend. Next week, we’ll take that one day at a time. Why stress out over the unknown, right?

Got some interesting news from work that I cannot talk about. It impacts me greatly, but not in a negative way. More of a “Hey, here’s more stuff to do” way. It shouldn’t add much to my current work load, but again, we’ll just take it day by day and see how it goes from there.

People will come into your life as people tend to do. People will depart from your life as they also tend to do. This happens more in a work environment than it does with friends and family. It’s inevitable. I, like most people, am adverse to change. Change is a scary thing. When people come and go, that’s a scary thing. Will I lose touch with that person? Will that person lose touch with me? How will I get by without that person to lean on from time to time? Is that person going to be alright?

In the Navy I transfered multiple times. Usually with the same batch of guys from Cory Station, Pensacola. I’ve been in touch with a couple of the guys over the years, but it’s not easy to stay in touch. I guess with Facebook I could go looking for these people again, but it’s been quite a long time. I’d love to know what the old gang is up to.

Heck, even my friends from ITT Tech and National University. I do still keep in touch with a couple friends from high school, but for the most part I just wonder what ever happened to some of the people I used to know. I’m bad at correspondence and lost touch with so many people over the years. It was never deliberate, but it’s happened.

I think starting next week I will begin a search for people I’ve lost touch with over the years. This might be weird. It might be cathartic. It might be totally insane and illogical. Heck, for all I know these people have completely forgotten about me. We’ll find out. I’ll post the first name of the person, where I remember them from, and we’ll see how many people I can track down. Should be interesting. I might even have to dig out my old year books to find friends from high school.

Could be interesting.

Tomorrow I’ll write about Ducks.

Until Tomorrow!

WOO WOO!
