Today is a good day. Well, mostly.

First, I’m still on track with NaNoWriMo. I managed to find a quiet corner yesterday while the wife and my favorite daughter got ready to go to the in-laws for Thanksgiving dinner. I knocked out roughly 1700 words. Today I just need 1000 words to stay on track (I’ll be doing that next).

Thanksgiving dinner was incredible. I had more than enough to eat and there is more than enough for leftovers this morning. We’ll be heading there in a couple hours for breakfast which will consist of thanksgiving dinner plus eggs. Oh yeah.

I filled up Sputtery Truck at an AM/PM gas station (after the wife, my favorite daughter, and others went midnight shopping). I haven’t done that in a very long time. On the way Sputtery Truck got quite sputtery. The Check Engine light flashed, stayed steady, flashed, stayed steady. I’ll be heading out in a little bit to make sure it’s alright. Hopefully it’s just a tank of bad gas. I’ll be contacting my friend to see if he can swing by tomorrow and run a diagnostic on it and make sure it’s nothing serious.

There’s been a smell of burning rubber, but I think, not 100% sure, that it’s coming from the new brake pads. We put a rubber compound on the outside of the brake pads that is supposed to quiet the noise they make. I’m hopeful there isn’t something seriously wrong. We’ll see.

Today is another busy day. I’m going to see if I can knock out a few words before we head out the door. So my to do.
